Food distribution during extended school closures

  • DOE Grab and Go info
Grab-and-Go Breakfast and Lunch Pick-ups at certain DOE Public Schools (Please read the attached memo from the Hawaii DOE website for complete information on the meal service)
  • Breakfast pick up times: 7:30 am - 8:00 am (Make sure breakfast food is eaten by 10 am for food safety reasons)
  • Lunch pick up times: 11:30 am - 12 pm (Make sure lunch food is eaten by 2 pm for food safety)
  • Food will be in to-go containers and pick up sites will be outside the cafeteria at a convenient location (look for signs)
  • No food will be distributed on Thursday, March 26 because it is a state holiday (Kuhio Day) or on the weekends
  • Students 18 years or younger can pick up breakfast and lunch at any of these DOE schools during the extended school closures
    • BOTH Farrington High School and Dole Middle School will open Grab-and-Go Breakfast and Lunch on Tuesday, March 24
 
Lunch Distribution at K-Vibe on Kamehameha IV Road 
  • Open to students 18 years and younger
  • Food will be distributed weekdays from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm at K-Vibe by the 7-Eleven on Kamehameha IV Road
  • This is a partnership between KKV's K-Vibe and Kalihi YMCA
Lunch Distribution at PACT at KPT (Please call the PACT Family and Economic Development Center at 808-841-6177 if you have more questions about this service)
  • Lunch is being served to children and their caregivers this week (3/16-3/20), and we are planning to continue next week (3/23-3/27)
  • Lunch is being packed in to-go containers near the elevators at the KPT Resource Center 
  • One person is allowed to pick up food for their whole family (as long as it’s a reasonable number) to decrease the number of people leaving their home. 
  • Lunch is being served from 12:00 - 12:30 pm Monday through Friday

 

PACT's Family Center Food Pantry (Please call the PACT Family and Economic Development Center at 808-841-6177 if you have more questions about this service)

  • The food pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm
  • Any adult (18+) in need of food can receive food from our pantry.  They will need to complete intake paperwork and bring a photo ID. 
  • The amount of food they receive depends on the size of their family  
  • They will receive canned goods/ non-perishable items only
Susannah Wesley Community Center Food Pantry (Please call Susannah Wesley at 808-847-1535 if you have more questions about this service)
  • The food pantry is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 - 2 pm as supplies last
  • Open to all ages, but please bring your own bags
  • Canned goods provided by the Food Bank and produce provided by Aloha Harvest
